Ogunlowo Daniel Segun — Segzystrings — is a guitarist, bassist and music arranger based in London, working across live performance, studio recording and instrumental education from arena stages to the rehearsal room.
I am a guitarist, bassist and session musician working across contemporary gospel, worship, Afrobeats and contemporary African music — playing lead and rhythm, shaping live arrangements, and holding the space between an artist and the room they are playing to.
Since 2015 I have performed across the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and Asia, including extensive international concert work as a guitarist with Sinach, alongside studio session work, music coordination and guitar education.

About
A guitarist in service of the song
I am a Nigerian guitarist, bassist, session musician and music educator based in London. My practice spans live performance, studio recording, music arrangement and instrumental teaching, with performance work across the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Much of my international experience has come through concert work as a guitarist with Sinach, with engagements in Ghana, Rwanda, Malawi, Kenya, South Africa, Russia, India, Gabon, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Across those stages my work has covered lead and rhythm playing, live arrangement, melodic introductions and outros, acoustic performance and ensemble accompaniment.
Since establishing my practice in the United Kingdom I have continued to work across arena productions, gospel music events and commercial African music — from Warehouse Worship at the Copper Box Arena and Festival of Praise at Manchester’s AO Arena, to Dunsin Oyekan at the O2 Arena and Seyi Vibez live in Manchester.
Alongside performance I work as a session guitarist, music coordinator and guitar educator. I hold a Music Diploma in Performance with Guitar as my major instrument from the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON).
Instruments & Practice
The guitar carries the song without ever standing in front of it.
My playing is built around timing, melodic placement and the space between parts — knowing when to lead, when to hold the rhythm, and when to leave the room to the voice. Whether the setting is an arena worship programme, an Afrobeats concert or a studio session, the work is the same: listen first, then play the part the arrangement is asking for.
